About Valtrexa

A small place
to stop and pray.

Valtrexa is a privately maintained Catholic prayer site. There are no ads, accounts, or feeds to keep up with—just a collection of prayers and devotional tools.

It is an independent lay project. It does not speak for a parish, diocese, bishop, religious community, the USCCB, or the Holy See.

Purpose

What the site is for.

Valtrexa offers guided prayer, Scripture references, the Rosary, traditional devotions, and sacred music. Use it as a help between visits to church, never as a replacement for Mass, Confession, the sacraments, or parish life.

Who runs it

A private lay project.

The maintainer keeps personal details private and holds no clerical office, canonical mission, pastoral appointment, or claimed theology degree.

Anything written for Valtrexa is offered as a devotional aid. When a teaching or prayer comes from the Church, the source is named and linked.

Sources

Where the material comes from.

Rosary meditations credit the Rosary Center. Daily readings link to the USCCB instead of copying the Lectionary. The Psalm 46:10 quotation on the home page is from the public-domain King James Version.

Church documents and saint profiles link to Vatican sources. Sacred art lists its artist, source, and public-domain status. Sacred music lists the performer, source page, and license.

Church relationship

Independent of any diocese.

Links to Church sources are there so you can read them for yourself. They do not mean that the source endorses Valtrexa.

Bring questions about doctrine, conscience, the sacraments, or pastoral care to a priest, a qualified catechist, or an official Church source.

Moderation

A small, human moderation desk.

The maintainer checks prayer requests for privacy, safety, and basic charity. The wall is not watched around the clock, and there is no chaplain or trained counselor behind it.

You can post an intention or mark that you prayed. There are no comments, arguments, private messages, or spiritual advice.

Privacy

What stays private.

Candle intentions stay on your screen; only an optional name is shared. Prayer-wall requests are sent for moderation and may be published after you agree. Suggestions go only to the private moderation desk.

Lectio notes and the vigil timer disappear when you leave. Prayer rules, reading settings, and offline pages may be saved in your browser. Clearing Valtrexa’s site data removes them.

Neither public form asks for contact information. Please leave out sensitive details about yourself or anyone else.

The local Church

Find a parish near you.

A website cannot offer the sacraments or know you the way a parish community can. Always confirm Mass and Confession times directly with the parish before traveling.

Optional support

Hosting is privately paid.

If you wish to help with server or electricity costs, a quiet support page is available. There is no pressure, no public donor list, and no account required.
